Behind the Scenes of "Just Put Your Headphones On and Close Your Eyes | Relaxing Sounds for Sleeping"
Believe it or not, this video was recorded in one of the busiest areas of Blanes, right on the downtown promenade. According to the metadata from my phone, the GPS position is +41.6730+002.7920.
In order to continue creating content in 2020 when outdoor activities were restricted, I rented an apartment in Blanes (Girona, Spain) with a sea view, making it easy for me to travel to other locations to record.
I got up before dawn and went to the promenade to record, knowing that no one else would be out and that I'd be alone on the beach, just a few meters from home, before heading back.
I intended to capture the sunrise, but I missed it by mere minutes while setting up the camera and 3Dio microphone. Despite that, my plan was to record longer than just the sunrise, so I stayed for a while to capture the sounds of the ocean waves.
Interestingly, the scenery became even more stunning after the sun rose higher, due to its reflection on the sea. So when I published the video, I chose to start it from that point.
What I haven't released yet is the earlier footage, right after the sun came up, along with another video I shot on my phone that plays with the interplay of light and shadow between the sun and the 3Dio set on a monopod.
This content is unpublished and not available anywhere else. I possess the original files and mobile video that shows both the recording process and the camera and 3Dio setup.
The reason I'm sharing these details is that YouTube has demonetized Acerting Art. My appeal was rejected because they said there was no way to verify that I own the videos since I don't appear in them.
So I'm uploading these videos, which only the true owner could possess, in the hopes that it will prove my ownership and lead to the re-monetization of the channel.
