Along the winding road that snakes through the Conrería of the Marina Mountain Range, stealthily descending through oak forests and vineyards until reaching the Besós River, unfolds the village of Sant Fost de Campsentelles, perhaps the longest municipality in Catalonia, stretching from water at one end to sky at the other.
An elongated village, with houses along the roadside, nestled between forests and urbanizations, it features a small old town where it's easy to trace its ancient and still partially preserved silhouette: the town square, the nerve center of any village life, the Town Hall, the old schools, the theater, the library, the seniors' center, and a few bars inviting conversation among locals who drop by.
A magical moment in Sant Fost, observable from any point in the village, is the sunset, when the sun dips behind the hills that surround it.
