Mansi Makes | Behind the scenes of my biggest painting yet! @MansiMakes | Uploaded May 2023 | Updated October 2024, 10 hours ago.
It's not a secret that I love to paint! Well, this year's Teacher Appreciation Week afforded me the opportunity to finger paint a garden of gratitude.
Using 8ft by 3 ft butcher paper, acrylic paints, a sponge and all of my fingers (including my thumbs!), I created this colorful rose garden that was taped on to the classroom door on a Sunday as a welcome surprise for the homeroom teacher when she arrived Monday morning.
She was so thrilled that she wanted to get it framed! Well, butcher paper isn't the most durable of substrates, so I'm now in the process of recreating this painting for her on canvas, so she can hang it up in her classroom as a small token of gratitude for all she does.
