Xinming’s research, conducted as part of the Teagasc Walsh Scholars Programme, focuses on screening whole-site methane emissions from anaerobic digestion plants.

His work aims to identify fugitive methane sources and support practical mitigation strategies to improve the financial and environmental sustainability of pasture-based biogas production.
