Some aerial footage of Trenchford and Tottiford reservoirs on Dartmoor showing the low water levels after the dry UK summer of 2022.
I don't know anything about how high reservoirs should be, but I spoke to some locals who assured me that this was particularly low. Also, Google Street View confirms that winter water levels are many metres higher.
Tottiford and Trenchford are a part of a triumvirate, including Kennick to the north, which feeds Tottiford. Together they are supposed to contain 2,156 million litres of water. I'd be very interested to know how many litres they contained when I filmed this. It must be well under 800 million. Tottiford was built in 1861, and Trenchford in 1903.
