How to hide the desktop icons in macOS. This could be useful for privacy during screen shares, work presentations or video captures. Or maybe you just like a clean desktop.
This is a very simple command (shown below) so I cover this in the first 10 seconds of the video. However, if you want a little more detail on exactly how to use it and see a demonstration then I cover that in the rest of the video.
CMD: defaults write com.apple.finder CreateDesktop false; killall Finder
IMPORTANT: This command essentially disables the idea of the desktop. You still have a wallpaper but you can't drag new files onto the desktop or interact with it in any way that you normally would.
