Had a great conversation yesterday with Johnny who is currently 5 months into my mentorship program!
Every mentee I work with has different goals and is at a different level in their photography journey.
Some photographers are complete beginners, others are aspiring professionals.
But we are all connected through our passion for photography, photographic storytelling and using photography to explore the world.
During our initial conversations, I assess each mentee’s images and portfolio as a whole. I help identify strengths and weaknesses, then develop a structured plan to help them reach their goals.
Each month, we meet via video to discuss their on-going work and I set them mini-assignments to implement and practice the techniques I have introduced.
As well as the 1-on-1 video calls, mentees also meet in our monthly mentee community webinar in which we talk as a group.
Mentees have access to over 10 hours of archived conversations from previous webinars and are active in our private WhatsApp chat group, sharing images and giving each other ideas and inspiration.
It’s been a pleasure to help all those who have joined the mentorship program so far.
