"This bird is obviously AI generated", said someone on one of my posts yesterday.
This is photography in 2026. When you post a good photo now, it seems that you have to defend that it's not AI.
I'm really proud of this photo that I posted in my reel yesterday, capturing a bird in this temple on the Qinghai Tibetan Plateau.
If you take a good photo these days, it seems like you've got to defend that it's not fake.
As a photojournalist, I take pride in the fact that my photos capture real, authentic moments. Anyone can create a fake photo, which makes the real moments even more special and satisfying to capture.
Is the burden on photographers now? Do we have to prove each image is 'real'? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
