The sixth edition of the Berlin Climate and Security Conference (BCSC) explored how to secure a climate for peace. The conference examined why climate must be integrated into peacemaking. Through taking stock of best practice examples, it advanced concrete climate security approaches and initiatives.

Regional organizations play a crucial role in formulating and implementing climate security responses. This event aimed to explore their contributions to the climate, peace, and security agenda. The African Union developed the Africa Climate Security Risk Assessment and is working on a Common African Position on climate change, peace, and security. The European Union also prioritized climate security with its Joint Communication to enhance foresight and international partnerships. By bringing together the AU and EU, the event facilitated an exchange on regional actions and best practices.
