B.C. Premier David Eby announces cabinet changes – August 14, 2026 @cpac

British Columbia Premier David Eby holds a news conference in Vancouver to announce changes to the provincial cabinet following Finance Minister Brenda Bailey's decision to take a leave of absence for cancer treatment. Effective August 14, Health Minister Josie Osborne becomes minister of finance, Jobs Minister Ravi Kahlon becomes minister of health, and Bailey assumes the role of minister of jobs and economic growth. Adrian Dix, minister of energy and climate solutions, will oversee Bailey's portfolio while she is on leave.

Also speaking at the news conference are Bailey and Kahlon.
