BAYONETTA 3’S SECRET CHAPTER MAY JUST GIVE US HOPE AFTER THAT HEARTBREAKING ENDING.
And I’ll even break down the extra book pages all for you. AS WELL AS unblurring some crucial easter eggs using AI.
The Secret Chapter brings a very different touch to flashback almost like an indie game typa feeling. You can also get this cool outfit, from activating all the Infernal flowers and going back to the beginning - it’s the one that I’ll go to use from now on.
But you have the cool theme of the classic young girl walking into a magical forest or like a homage to Alice in Wonderland which a lot of the themes are told in.
You see a younger version of the Cereza that we played in Bayonetta 3, now I’m going to have to give some sort of important context. From now on in the next videos I will be stating which interpretation I’m talking about before I go into the theory. Because that ending just melted everyone’s minds after we all fangirl at that scene.
I will be breaking down the ending after this one, but simply Interpretation 1 is my favorite, which is the Bayonetta that we played in Bayonetta 3 throughout is the Bayonetta that we grew up with, all the way from Bayonetta 1 who we had adventures with Loki in Bayonetta 2, and so on. Which makes the 2 Bayonettas that helped out ‘The End’ Bayonetta, and Brave Cereza who was the one we raised in the first game who is now grown up and returned the favour to our Bayonetta so that way the roles are reversed.
Interpretation 2 is what I think is probably happening, it’s not my preference because you’ll see why in a minute. This interpretation involves the Bayonetta we played in Bayonetta 3 actually being the Brave Cereza we raised in the first game, while Bayonetta from Bayonetta 2, and Bayonetta from Bayonetta 1 are from separate timelines so the games that we played aren’t connected in terms of chronological order, but they all happened at the same time. You can kind of see why I don’t prefer this but it’s basically throwing character development out the window since we played different characters this whole time.
While I do feel the epicness of the scene I prefer the first interpretation since one, the Bayonetta we grew up with is now getting help from the little one we raised in the first game, and of course coming in full circle as a sort of cute harmless payback of hitting her forehead.
