Bayonetta 3’s GAMEPLAY will absolutely change the landscape of how YOU play Bayonetta forever. Yes, EVERYTHING NEW from the IGN and NintendoLife Previews to the Official Nintendo Showcase, will be covered in this one video.

I brought 3 amazing people to help me break down the new Bayonetta 3 mechanics, and maybe these will help you believe their credentials.

In the IGN Preview, the scene opens with Bayonetta taking the Yamanote Line which is absolutely making me miss Japan, and on that note, the Borders are going to open soon omg

But in the next cinematic we FINALLY get to see Bayonetta’s Serious Mode come back as well as the Button Mashing Quick Time event and judging by the speed if they are going with Kamiya’s direction like how they did in Bayonetta 1, the speed would indicate that this player could be on Standard Mode.

Also, in this scene, it seems to not deplete your magic gauge when take damage, though it would be fitting if it did in Expert Mode.

The loading icon redesign also showcases a beautiful almost 4th Dimensional Tesseract pattern which reminded me of Defender Strange’s glyph, which could indicate the multiverse.

A euphoric experience in the Nintendo Life Preview is where we finally see the Homunculi’s introduction screen of Iridescent, who is ranked with the Mega Aerial Raid Unit, and surrounding it are these beautiful pods which is a nice hallway parallel to that library intro from Bayonetta 1. I like to think that this is from the major antagonist’s lair.

This is where and how it segues into Gomorrah/Diomedes Scene, which is a cool parallel to Bayonetta 2’s scene. In that opening, Gomorrah rises from the portal from the skyscraper but ends up breaking its contract, while in this scene it shows Bayonetta’s improvement to controlling her demons.

But what REALLY caught my eye in the preview are the Alternative verse selections, WaterBlast in our Discord managed to point them out to be Coordinates, and thank you Creelien for sending this to me!

In the Official Nintendo Showcase, TWO things caught my eyes the most, the Improvisation Bonus, which looks so beautiful especially during a perfect Witch Time, finally adding something that'll reward different styles of playing and not my Zenitsu Style of playing of PKP the whole way.

Now, this is why I believed Devil May Cry players flourished when Bayonetta 1 first came out and they played that for the first time.

I'm currently playing DMC 3, I wanted to surprise y'all but here we are! Being the Bayonetta main I am, my plays are usually clean, quick and simple regardless of how repetitive it became and I'm sure that's the case with a lot of casuals I feel y'all!

This new bonus mechanic in Bayonetta 3 I absolutely love, because it's similarly encourages you towards changing up your plays each time, something I would love to work on.

The other thing was the Masquerade Form of Phantasmaranae, where these huge jumps, and I said this during my blind reaction stream, these huge jumps are going to help out so much with speed-running, and I'm glad they're going to be considerate of that.
