If there is a culturally significant animal in the horror genre, it is the bat. Bats are the quintessential creatures of the night in the popular imagination, especially due to their association with vampires. They hide in dark caverns, attack in swarms and drink the blood of their victims.
In this Halloween 2023 we wanted to pay tribute to them: the best scenes of bats in 60 movies, sorted by the size of the creatures, from smaller to giants. We have discarded movies with poor image quality (Fangs), and also those movies where the mutant bats or vampires are closer to their human shape (Daybreakers), but we think the result is quite complete and interesting.
