Batman: Bad Seeds already feels like another unnecessary Batman event, recycling old Poison Ivy ideas instead of building on what was already working. Fortunately, the rest of the week delivers the best lineups of indie comics we've ever covered on the channel.
DC Comics kicks off Batman: Bad Seeds with Matt Fraction and G. Willow Wilson, but instead of feeling fresh, the event immediately retreads familiar territory as Gotham once again falls under Poison Ivy's influence. Wes explains why the crossover already feels poorly timed, why the premise lacks stakes, and why Batman's momentum didn't need another line-wide event interrupting it.
