If you’re tired of missing the string you’re aiming for with your plucking finger, it’s time to do some basic string crossing exercises. Working on these exercises will help you develop muscle memory for your string locations, and reduce the amount of stumbling you do by drilling you on different possible plucking situations.

Besides just practicing these four exercises, I really really recommend that you take my advice from the end of the lesson and create your own exercises. All you have to do is pick a string crossing pattern, decide how many plucks to do on each string, whether or not to rake, and you’re off!
