1962 MLB spring training. Starting with the Yankees, Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris swing bats and warm up for the start of the season. Then the video goes to the Colt .45s baseball camp. This was the first year the Colts were playing in Major League Baseball and their franchise soon died out and closed in 1964. The story then moves to the San Francisco Giants training came and shows Willie Mayes batting, the Alou brothers and Don Larsen. The Mets are opening the season with weak pitching but do have Roger Craig.
