After a cat went running through a Centennial neighborhood Wednesday night, 50-pound Barley had only one thing on his mind — the chase was on!
But Barley’s quick escape and pursuit ended with him in a situation he couldn’t get out of on his own.
What followed was a nearly two-hour rescue effort involving close to 20 members of South Metro Fire Rescue, including the SMFR Technical Rescue Team.
After plenty of teamwork, patience and a little persuasion, Barley was safely rescued.
Now we have an important question…
Should peanut butter officially be added to the SMFR Technical Rescue Team’s toolkit?
