While the palace at Bang Pa-In dates back to the Ayutthaya Kingdom, the present-day buildings date back to the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V).Bang Pa-In is located some 30 kilometers south of Ayutthaya. It now appears as a marvelously maintained park, scattered with historical buildings. The Aisawan-Dhipaya-Asana Pavillion in the lake, is one of the best known images of Thailand.
