South African band, no doubt, given that Phil Audoire (or Audiore) was the engineer of this album and also co-wrote the title track. Phil was an engineer and producer of South African bubblegum/disco and synth-pop albums during the mid 1980s, and is credited as both producer and engineer, with roles including keyboards and programming, on the album “The Fighting Prince” by “The Boxers” (1986), as well as engineer on Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse’s early work such as “Don’t Mess Around” (on Rufaro/Gallo Records).
It's more than likely that the Banana Bunch were a studio band (or session musicians) used by Phil for the purpose of recording this album, as no information on the band could be found.
