I met the wife's basic requirements for the baby gate, and now it's time to make it a little more fun and educational for the little guy. This feature will help him learn about angles, gravity, obstacles, and also help with some motor skills and upper-body strength. I'm trying to stick with materials I already have at the house, which in this case conveniently included some impact-resistant polycarbonate tubing and 1/2" stainless-steel ball bearings left over from this one time when I was thinking about building a quasi-perpetual-motion machine, but then ironically lost momentum after buying the materials. The two types of wood used are purpleheart and beech.

I have some other pictures and short videos posted to my Instagram page.
