There are a lot of ways to make dowels, all of which seem to work well enough. I wanted to make something different and original, so I put together this table-saw jig with interchangeable inserts for cutting different sizes of dowel. This design might be a little overkill, but it was fun to make and a pleasure to use. Note that this is the first version of the jig, and I made some important safety upgrades later.
