There are countless dragons found throughout world mythology and folklore, but few are so large that they can swallow the moon as easily as a snake swallows a mouse! Various stories from all over the Philippines feature such a dragon, one by the name of Bakunawa. Celebrated through oral tradition, the story of Bakunawa changes from telling to telling, but a few things are consistent: he is a massive dragon, and he swallows multiple moons, much to the horror of humanity, and the anger of the gods!
