While most of the Greek pantheon were depicted as beautiful, and human-looking, Pan, on the other hand, was depicted as looking much like a satyr! His wild appearance mirrored his wild behavior, acting as the serene and chaotic side of the natural world. To put it plainly, Pan was the ultimate party animal, living his life running through the woods, protecting animals, scaring mortals, playing his pipes, and pursuing carnal pleasures...even if his antics lead him into trouble!
