Here is "collection device" for picking up loose items from overhead. The device involves a horizontally mounted drive wheel and spring. The spring allows the drive wheel to hang down slightly, which allows it to make contact with items on the ground. When the drive wheel turns, it scoops the item up into a storage bay and is held in place by the tension of the spring.
As a demonstration, I use a modified Osprey to chase down and destroy King Pig's car, and then I abduct him from the wreckage. I also illustrate the recovery of piggy and an egg with the collection device. Here is a description of the Osprey flyer:
