Ava Gary's senior year of high school almost ended in disappointment after she sustained a knee injury. What she thought was a simple twist turned out to be a torn meniscus, needing surgery. Orthopedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist Benjamin Cox. D.O., performed the repair, and MyMichigan Health's Rehabilitation Services guided her recovery. Her team, including Physical Therapist Derick Roland, pushed her to excel. Thanks to their expert care, she is now stronger than ever, even breaking four high school records. After finishing a very successful track year at Gladwin High School, Ava is thrilled to continue her track career at SVSU this fall.
