Leopold Stokowski conducts the Philadelphia Orchestra in his 1922 orchestral transcription of Johann Sebastian Bach's Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, BWV 582, recorded January/May 1929 . The video includes extracts from one of the earliest manuscript copies of the Passacaglia (believed to be copied by Bach's older brother Johann Christoph in c.1713, though at least one source dates this copy to a later date: Bach's original manuscript is lost).
