Elgar's Sospiri Op.70, played by the New Philharmonia Orchestra conducted John Barbirolli (recorded at the Kingsway Hall, London,16 June 1966). The video (unrelated to the audio track) includes rare film of Elgar himself conducting at the Empire (later Wembley) Stadium, London on April 23 1924 and at the opening of the Abbey Road Studios, London, on November 12 1931.
