At three months old, the orphan baby skunks are ready to go back into the wild! Because they were orphaned so young and had to be kept somewhat used to handling because of their cage setup, they are being released on a large area of private property where they are unlikely to encounter or approach unsuspecting humans. The release area will be monitored for several weeks and extra food left to supplement the skunk babies as they learn to find natural sources of food.
