Three-week-old pygmy hippo Piper took her first swim at Edinburgh Zoo after following mum Gloria into the pool. The tiny hippo confidently explored the water before nibbling driftwood and waiting beside her snoozing mum. Born on August 3, Piper has quickly become a visitor favorite as one of an estimated 2,500 pygmy hippos left in the wild.
