It happened when innocent photos taken during her holiday were stolen and shared without her consent. Ayesha Omar and Chayn, an international organisation working against gender-based violence, say that technology companies do not fully understand different cultural sensitivities and social contexts when dealing with online abuse, and are slow to take action if the images shared are not explicit or contain nudity.
