Here's all the reasons why we shouldn't be trying to do anything fun with certain people.

I'm fully aware (as should you be) that this doesn't apply to everyone. Some complaints are valid. I'm totally guilty of bitching about how bad CG is in a movie...The important difference is, I don't let it spoil the rest of the experience for myself or others. If I bring it up argumentatively, it'll be included with other reasons why I thought whatever I saw sucked; I never let things like special effects or poor character choices ruin an entire movie or show. Entertainment has loads of opportunities to redeem itself. My larger point is that if you choose to ignore the good qualities because of a couple things you didn't agree with, then you're fucking doing it wrong and I'll gouge your eyes out if you keep mentioning it.
I guess a lot of it is about reading the room you're in. If the atmosphere advocates tearing a movie apart to be funny, then by all means. Nobody watches Troll 2 because it's a GOOD MOVIE. Conversely, constantly mentioning the laws in a film, over and over, in an unending loop of "LOL THIS IS BAD" is the kind of thing that makes people want to take a dump. On you. Just be selective about what problems you verbalize and how often you do. Sometimes your opinion is stupid. That's just a fact of life.
