We head east on I-70 from Avon, CO. We soon pass through Vail and begin the ascent up 10,603 foot Vail Pass. We reach the pass and are greeted with great mountain views as we descend the other side of the pass. We pass by Copper Mountain and Frisco before exiting onto US 6 East at the Silverthorne/Dillon exit. We take US 6 to a viewpoint where we finish off with some great views of beautiful Lake Dillon.
