Watch to the end! 😂
❌ Goodbye to plastic
✔️ Hello to glass & stainless steel
It’s high time to detox our kitchens! (I don’t usually throw containers out like that but I’m hoping to start a trend lol 😆 )
A phthalate called di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), which helps make plastic softer and more flexible, is everywhere—food containers, water bottles, baby clothes, toys, furniture, etc 😣 We know phthalates are endocrine disrupters, but now they’ve been linked to heart disease. 😬
My advice?
1️⃣ Replace plastic containers with glass
2️⃣ Avoid plastic water bottles
3️⃣ If you must use plastic, look for phthalate-free
4️⃣Avoid pre-packaged foods stored in plastic. (It helps to purchase from your local farmer or farmers market for real, whole foods)
I know it’s hard to avoid plastic as it’s everywhere! 🤪 But the more we know, the better choices we can make when we’re able. 👍
Would you like me to interview someone about how to detox from microplastics? What helps you avoid plastic?
Tips welcome 👇🏽
