Film Score and More | Avatar: The Last Airbender - Zuko Beach Flashback/Reconciliation (Cover) @FilmScoreandMore | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
The soundtrack of Avatar: The Last Airbender (by Jeremy Zuckerman and the Track Team) has always been terrific and distinctive. This theme from the beach on Ember Island is one of the more subtle pieces, but it’s still powerful.
Despite only appearing in book 3, this theme is so prominent then it could almost be Zuko’s leitmotif, apart from that main Fire Nation motif all over the show. It’s also called “Reconciliation,” but that is a different arrangement from a different scene in Sozin's Comet.
I used a celeste for most of it and just two violin sections with a cello section for the strings. I could be wrong, but I didn't notice any violas or basses. The percussion is a bass drum with a tam tam scrape.
