New to Fusion and not sure where to start? This video shows how the built-in assistant can guide you through the entire setup process using plain language and simple prompts, no complex commands to memorize.
We start with one of the sample prompts from the starter menu, so there's no need to build anything from scratch. From there, the assistant asks a series of straightforward questions — what to name the setup, what type of stock you're using, where to position your WCS, and which bodies to include, then uses your answers to build everything out automatically.
Once the setup is generated, it's always worth double-checking the details. In this walkthrough, the WCS ends up in the wrong spot, so we simply ask the assistant to adjust it, and it repositions it correctly right away.
Next, the assistant prompts you to add a toolpath operation. We keep it simple with a standard face toolpath, then ask the assistant to search the tool library and suggest a few suitable options. From there, it's easy to select the right tool and generate a toolpath that's ready to fine-tune for your specific machine.
Whether you're brand new to CAM or just want a faster way to get started, this is a great look at how the assistant can simplify the setup process from start to finish.
