With the help of a KR QUANTEC, the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) in Stuttgart has successfully shown how industrial battery disassembly can work. The result of this research project “DeMoBat – Industrial Disassembly of Batteries and Electric Motors”: automated battery disassembly using a KUKA robot makes electric cars even more sustainable.
