We discuss the prophecies of Lehi and Nephi as well as the Tree of Life and how this concept appears in many many different religious backgrounds through the ages. Nephi and Lehi were not from the priestly tribe of the time. They were not Levites but God went outside the main priesthood at that time to call two men to fulfill His work. They both testify that their authority came directly from the Holy Ghost.
