An overflow could leave vehicles traveling from the province's southern and northern parts stranded for prolonged periods. Authorities are urging motorists to remain vigilant and heed advisories from the local government. This is to prevent accidents and ensure their safety. Meanwhile, in Barangay Santa Fe, officials have postponed relief operations due to unsafe conditions along the Santo Tomas River. Vehicles are no longer able to cross the river due to strong water currents carrying lahar flow.

Philippine Coast Guard divers have joined the search for three people still missing after a boat capsized at Mapanuepe Lake in San Marcelino, Zambales. The boat was carrying thirteen passengers. Six people died in the mishap, including three children. Four passengers were rescued. According to the survivors, the boat encountered strong winds and waves. A Coast Guard spokesman said the sudden change in weather conditions could have caused the boat's capsizing. However, he stressed that they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Video and online game platform Roblox will be installing safeguards against grooming, radicalization and the possible infiltration of extremists. This was announced by the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center or CICC. The CICC said Roblox will pursue the integration of the Philippine National ID system into its user verification process. The gaming platform will also implement stricter safeguards for children using its messaging features. Roblox is also planning to open a local office in the country by October this year after opening a regional office in Singapore. CICC said Roblox’s local presence is expected to facilitate faster coordination between the platform and Philippine authorities on online safety concerns.
The low pressure area or LPA east of extreme Northern Luzon may develop into a tropical cyclone. This may happen tomorrow until Sunday. However, PAGASA says LPA is expected to generally move northwestward, making a landfall over the country less likely. This potential tropical cyclone will continuously enhance the southwest monsoon or Habagat. Monsoon rains is expected over Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan. Occasional rains will still prevail over Metro Manila, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro. Today’s rainy weather prompted Malacañang to suspend work in government offices in Metro Manila and sixteen provinces. The Palace also suspended classes at all levels - both public and private schools - in those areas.
