President Marcos stressed that the country should continuously stand its ground in protecting its territory. The President made the remark as he led today’s National Heroes Day commemoration. At the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City, Marcos reiterated the Philippines’ commitment to upholding the 2016 arbitral ruling. He said the Philippines is worth fighting for, saying the country’s sovereignty deserves to be defended. During the ceremony, Marcos led the wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He also paid a visit to the tomb of his late father, former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
