The social media phenomenon of "aura farming" battles has spilled over onto the streets of Latin America.

On TikTok and Instagram, a person's "aura" alludes to their style or attitude, with "100% aura" high praise for the most effortlessly cool persona. Participants are judged on their ability to reference as many viral memes and videos as possible, as spectators record the action on their cellphones.
