My 37th video is different than many of the others I've done before. Done as an experimental project in browser screen capturing, this little teaser promotes the browser-based (and now iPhone-based) game AUDITORIUM. (If you've not played it, do try it - it's hypnotic, addictive, and both relaxing and challenging at once - visit playauditorium.com to try it!)
The game has you directing and redirecting an energy flow through colored filters, black holes, warp gates, and other means to fill containers with energy. As the containers are filled, the music grows stronger, and depending on the number and color of the containers, even adds layers to the music.
The music you hear in this video is from the game itself, from Act 1 (Hajimemashite), composed by Dain Saint. All of the music in AUDITORIUM is lovely, but the music from Hajimemashite is still my favorite, and the effect of layering the multiple tracks was a terrific challenge for me!
Like my other videos, this one is tagged as Samuraiko Productions, for those who follow my work. Enjoy!
Footage from AUDITORIUM, used per general permission from Cipher Prime. Music is "Hajimemashite" by Dain Saint for the game AUDITORIUM, and used with permission from Dain Saint and William Stallwood. All rights reserved by their respective owners.
