A-Train VS Chase Isn’t Close

After the boys season 5 was finally released and seeing my goats noble sacrifice, I decided to put him up against another Speedster that I've actually talked about before, that being Chase from Dispatch. I'm not going to lie, I think this honestly the perfect matchup at least for me due to me being very familiar with both characters and their respective verses. Anywho, we’ll start off with their attack potency, and go from there. A Train as we all know is the fastest man alive within the boys Universe. In Season 1 he had a top speed of Mach 1.08 and you’d assume based on this he’s pretty fodder. There is the feat of him reacting to Starlights light but if im being honest this feat is so fishy for me. Not only are the beams moving in a straight line but we clearly see within the boys series Starlight can control the potency and velocity of her attacks. I’ve seen people say that because of her being super she simply could just have insanely high pressure from her attacks, meaning they can still be light speed but. If I’m being real this is kinda ignoring the fact that Annie’s powers aren’t just light based. Rather it’s closer to energy manipulation which includes light, since she can do things like absorb electricity. Especially with what’s been shown in the series consistently, I can’t confidently say A Train is light speed here but ,that honestly might not matter all that much. You see in season 5 my man pulled a quicksilver on Homelander and legit perceived his heat vision in slow motion. At this point A Train has a new heart and realistically should be faster than ever, and faster than pretty much anyone at this point in time. The fact he’s able to perceive Homelanders Lasers in slow motion would definitely give A Train a nice speed feat. Homelanders heat vision isn’t necessarily light speed but rather an attack that probably upscales from Homelanders physical speed, which we know in season 1 was estimated to be around Mach 18.2 when saving Billy from the bomb strapped to Ali from Cobra Kai. Homelander and A Train as well in my opinion could upscale from Nubia, who can shoot lightning. Though if I'm being honest the only correlation you can make is A Train being faster than everything in the verse including that lighting but… you can really only apply this to A Train if you’re feeling very generous. In comparison, Chase is someone who has shown the ability to save Invisible before Shroud could kill her. Based on the distance he had to travel and how fast he pulled it off, he’d realistically have to be moving over 4.46x to even 7x the speed of sound, just barely managing to save her. Now we know Trackstar as well has enhanced perception speed, and should as well be upscaling from characters like Invisible who is not all that strong on the team. And yet she’s able to weave this blast of electricity, which gets as low as Mach 9. You could say it's much faster if you assume the electricity speed is literally electricity, but the gun unfortunately has a confirmed speed. So in verse this feat is unfortunately not as impressive. But hold on guys…. Trackstar has a statement of being able to go lightspeed. Oh my god he blitzes A Train insert wally west image. No but seriously this statement is very much hyperbole and doesn't even apply to prime trackstar like people believe, As that Trackstar was unironically moving below Mach 1 in the comics. Like A Train you can apply lightspeed scaling to him if you choose to ignore certain factors on purpose and are super generous with the character. Trackstar literally has 0 AP Feats and isn't even a fighter anymore, meanwhile A Train is superhuman and can punch Kimiko through walls and mog on The Deep. He should also be capable of harming Noir if he can hurt Kimiko, who survived a wall level explosion as well so this tier is pretty consistent for him. Now as far as Star Blazer goes or the chase who has the blonde blazer amulet, i wont lie guys this guy probably has a better feat on the Shroud bot than Phenomaman. I'm not saying bro directly scales to him but he definitely is upscaling from the Z Team who all generally scale to that Small Building to Building Level tier, through characters like Toxic and Flamebae. A Train despite being significantly faster than Star Blazer, can't even hurt him unironically and Star Blazer also can just ya know… fly. So A Train really doesn't have an answer to this if we’re applying this version of Trackstar, but if it's their speedsters when they're using their own power and no outside factors, A Train solos Chase and also your favorite couple. RIP King.
