The State Fair of Virginia 2010 edition is in full swing and one of the most popular events is the weigh-in of the Atlantic Giant Pumpkins.
Drought and extreme hot weather in Virginia conspired to keep this year from breaking any records, but there was still a pretty good showing.
Veteran Atlantic Giant Pumpkin grower Kreig O'Bryant took top honors this year with a 815 pounder.
The pumpkins will remain on display throughout the SFVA's run and then put to other uses.
No pies though, tthere's not an oven big enough to handle these brutes.
