The one thing that you need to know in the first two games (Asuka 120% Burning Fest for Sharp and FM Towns) to perform advanced combos, is the ability to cancel all dash attacks into an "auto-defense" state by holding the two buttons. When you do this, all incoming attacks will clash and there you have your usual clash battle. If you just tap the two button while dash attacking, you will cancel the attack even before the auto-defense comes out, and you can recover from many attacks this way to perform some infinites and long combos.
In Asuka 120% excellent, they decided to take away this auto-defense mechanic, but you can still cancel all dash attacks still with the same technique, somehow.
