NASA astronaut, Lt. Cmdr. Kayla Barron, exemplifies the two-century fighting spirit of the U.S. Navy, breaking barriers below the sea and now into space!
Lt. Cmdr. Barron is a 2010 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. A Gates Cambridge scholar, she was among the first class of women selected into the Navy's submarine community. Setting her sights even higher, Barron became a member of NASA's 2017 Astronaut Candidate Class and is currently preparing for launch on the NASA SpaceX Crew-3 Mission to the ISS scheduled to launch October 2021.
