The new Aston Martin Valen arrives with 838 horsepower, a twin turbocharged 5.2 liter V12, and a claimed 214 mile per hour top speed. Limited to just 150 examples, this could be one of the wildest modern Aston Martin road cars yet.
Created through Aston Martin Q, the Valen takes the company’s front engine V12 formula in a much more extreme direction. Its carbon fiber body, 21 inch magnesium wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, aggressive aerodynamics, and available lightweight suspension components are all designed around reducing weight and creating a more focused driving experience.
Its 838 horsepower output places it above both the Aston Martin Valiant and Vanquish, while the 8 speed ZF transaxle uses programming influenced by the Vantage GT4 racing car. Aston Martin claims acceleration from 0 to 62 miles per hour takes only 3.1 seconds, with a maximum speed of 214 miles per hour.
Then there is the titanium exhaust. Aston Martin says the system is 50 percent louder from outside the car than the Vanquish exhaust, with special attention given to creating more V12 sound at lower engine speeds and normal throttle inputs.
With production limited to 150 cars and an estimated starting price around $2,000,000 before Q personalization, the Aston Martin Valen will be an extremely rare machine.
Would you choose the Valen over another limited production V12 supercar? Let us know in the comments, and remember to like the video and subscribe for more new car reveals, supercars, performance cars, and automotive news.
