The inspiration for this was watching Mike Waldt with his first live feed on making a goblet. I did steer clear of making his version of the Flying UKIS Goblet though, that's for professionals like him.
As the Ash has quite a wide striking grain I used Briwax Dark Oak wax to highlight the grain, after it had been sanded, Yorkshire Grit and finished off with Microcrystaline Wax.
In four years of turning, this was actually only my third attempt at a goblet.
