Usually when people add colour to wood it's one of the bright / bold colours like Black, Red, Yellow etc. In the UK we mainly have Spirit Stains from Chestnut Products or Intrisic Colours from Hampshire Sheen.

I've found that Chestnut Products also do Wood Colours in their Spirit Stains. Using these you can change the colour of the wood so it still looks like a fully natural piece of wood.
