TEST: Two Arken EP5 Gen 2 7-35×56mm riflescopes from different production runs were evaluated: Optic A (new production run with improved ocular, received 20MAR2026) and Optic B (original production run, received 02JUL2024). Optic A resolved 2.40 c/mm at 35× and 0.63 c/mm at 7×, while Optic B resolved 2.00 c/mm at 35× and 0.56 c/mm at 7×. Differences were minimal at low magnification but more substantial at high magnification. Optic A demonstrated superior brightness, contrast, color neutrality, and low-light performance from 30 to 35×. Both optics tracked with discernable perfect graduation precision through 20 MRAD of adjustment, with no observable deviation within ± 0.033 MRAD. The results indicate improved optical performance associated with the updated ocular assembly.
