The OSU Argon Geochronology Lab at CEOAS has used 40Ar/39Ar radiometric methods for decades to improve scientific understanding of a whole suite of research areas: geochronology of the ocean crust, ocean island volcanism, large igneous provinces, lunar and planetary rocks, hydrothermal minerals and clays, and more.
In this video, CEOAS Geology Research Associate and Instructor Emily Cahoon, gives us a tour of this lab space. This NSF-sponsored facility is open to visiting scientists and students from across and outside the USA.
